What is INET?

INET stands for Indian Navy Entrance Test. INET is being introduced from September 2019 to select men and women for joining Indian Navy as an officer.

What is the Significance of INET?

Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET) is an important step towards induction of future officers in one of the most glorious careers of our country. For the first time in the history of India, women have been allowed to appear for an entrance exam to join Indian Navy as officers. Earlier women entry to Indian Navy was possible only through direct SSB Interview for shortlisted candidates. This shortlisting was based on different standards. But now INET provides a common platform to all candidates provided they fulfil the basic criterion.  Even for men, INET opens an additional floodgate for joining the magnificent Indian Navy.
